Lord you have Helped

Was in Church Yesterday and worship was somewhat slow and dreary. But isn't it awesome that Daddy God can even move and communicate even when you are feeling bored? well Was singing the hymn Come Thy Fount of Many Blessings when a single word int he lyrics jumped out at me.

. Come, Thou Fount of every blessing,
Tune my heart to sing Thy grace;
Streams of mercy, never ceasing,
Call for songs of loudest praise.
Teach me some melodious sonnet,
Sung by flaming tongues above.
Praise the mount, I’m fixed upon it,
Mount of Thy redeeming love.

2. Sorrowing I shall be in spirit,
Till released from flesh and sin,
Yet from what I do inherit,
Here Thy praises I'll begin;
Here I raise my Ebenezer;
Here by Thy great help I’ve come;
And I hope, by Thy good pleasure,
Safely to arrive at home.

Wandering from the fold of God;
He, to rescue me from danger,
Interposed His precious blood;
How His kindness yet pursues me
Mortal tongue can never tell,
Clothed in flesh, till death shall loose me
I cannot proclaim it well.

Prone to wander, Lord, I feel it,
Prone to leave the God I love;

Seal it for Thy courts above.

How I’ll sing Thy sovereign grace;

The one word that stood out was in the 2nd stanza that said I will raise my Ebenezer.

So the curious me as usual looked it up when I got home. Well that was such a word in season. I have been having exams and during the past week Daddy God has already been so good in guiding me through this time. Wednesday night was such an amazing time. The time was 10PM I was totally drowning in the work I had to go through for the E-Commerce paper the next day, well I wasn't ready at all and my mind was blank and exhausted. Well what else could I do but pray and worship and read the bible a little. Well 3 hours later after a dreaming for a good 30mins, reading irrelevant stuff for another 20, and calling my beloved Trish to wake her up. I was Whatsapping Trish and I realized I was almost done. more than 10 lectures worth of stuff was done and I don't know how, except for the favor of Daddy God.

Well I've digressed long enough, what does Ebenezer mean, Stone of help. Or should I propose to you a Somewhat similar meaning, The place where the Lord has helped. The stone if you read in the bible was placed there as a signpost and reminder to the Israelites that God had helped them. Likewise in our lives let us never fail to build on our faith, faith is built up slowly if a little can move a mountain what more when we grow in it. Daddy I thank You have and ares till helping me wherever I go and You will always be there right beside me
